DevExpress SharePoint Case Study: Using DXv2 ASP.NET in SharePoint with Mark Hazleton
In the video, Mark shows off some of the very slick elements of the SharePoint portal he had built for his client. Mark really leverages many of the DevExpress ASP.NET controls and he has great chart visuals too!
He also shares his story about the website and the DevExpress experience:
We originally started using the Pivot Grid to provide a dynamic way to display data. As we evolved the POC, we started using more and more controls. The idea that we could implement a basic theme was great for the POC phase of the project as we did not have a designer, and my design skills are lacking. Many times we would use the DevExpress.com Demo site to get ideas on how to best use the controls. Eventually, we standardized on using only DevExpress controls, or custom controls derived from the base DevExpress controls. Having full source code was a big plus as we could extend controls when necessary. -Mark Hazelton
Thanks Mark for the video case study!
